Entrepreneurs

Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists can be one of the most useful resources available to entrepreneurs.
Not only can they provide the finances needed to get your business or invention off the ground, but they can also provide a wealth of help and information because they usually will invest in projects that they may be familiar with, or have an interest in, or may have already done something in that line of business.
They may wish to be involved somehow which helps them watch and protect their investment. By doing this it gives them more flexibility in providing financing whereas a loan agency would need you to have at least 20% of the cost of the project before they even look at your proposal.

AngelGroupNetwork.com was created to provide the link needed to introduce you to these Angel Investors without breaking your bank account and without the hassle of ‘knocking’ on doors only to be turned away. We also provide you with the ease of introducing your proposal to investors from the comfort of your home and with help by way of a Forum where you can ask questions or make comments.

So what do you have to lose? Do you feel your idea, business or invention is worth promoting? If you always felt that there is a huge gap between you and your dreams and that all you would need is a helping hand, a chance? With AngelGroupNetwork.com you are on your way to achieving your goals because we provide that ‘link’ between you and the Angel Investor and help close that gap.

It is easy as 1, 2, and 3.
Step 1 Register. Click 'Registration,' fill out the form.
Check 'Entrepreneur,' if you wish to post a proposal.
Check 'VC' (venture capitalist), if you wish to register as an investor. Or you can choose both. Click 'Submit'.
Step 2 Log in. Once you have clicked on 'submit' you will be taken to a sign in page. You can continue on now or at a later date. When you revisit the website, to access your account, just click on 'Login' in the navigation bar.

Step 3 Post your Proposal. When you are logged in, click on 'Post New Proposal'. Fill out the form. You will see a section for a brief description and one for a detailed description. The brief description anyone can see and the detailed description only registered users can see. You also have the ability to upload a document. Just make sure it is a doc. or pdf.

Also while logged into your account you can edit your proposal at any time. Click on 'View Proposals', this will take you to the brief description of your proposal. Click on the 'Edit' button and it will take you to the full document. Check it out. Ask yourself, does it look right? Can investors understand it? Remember, that your proposal will not go out to investors for a period of 7 days after submission but it will still be on the website. This allows me time to check all of them and to delete any that do not follow the guidelines. I may even contact you with some advice on your proposal. I only do this so that investors are not bombarded with 'junk' proposals.
Investors then may decide to contact you, which initially will happen on the website. Direct contact after that is at their choice.

Guidelines:
Please follow these simple guidelines as all proposals will be checked first before being sent out to interested investors. Any proposal that does not follow these guidelines will be deleted.

No profanity or social sensitive language will be allowed

Provide enough information in the proposal description and details. For example if a proposal only says "Entrepreneur here looking for $80,000." This is too vague and will be deleted as not to waste the time of interested investors.

Tips on drafting proposals:
- Provide enough appealing information in the brief description of your proposal to entice potential investors to read your proposal.
-Use some discretion when publishing proposals as to not give away any commercially sensitive information or intellectual property. AngelGroupNetwork.com will not be held liable for any loss. Please check Terms & Conditions.
-Check spelling and grammar. This is a very easy fix and makes a big difference to investors.
-Protect your privacy. Do not include any contact information or personal information in the proposal.
-Please, if you have an invention, for your sake and protection before you post anything on here contact a patent attorney and obtain a patent. Be weary of the “patent advertisers” who sometimes charge thousands of dollars for their ‘service’ and all you receive is a book.
- To attract an investor you need to offer or give up something. Of course the more you need the more you should offer. It is not at all uncommon to offer up a percentage of ownership in a business or in profits.
- Browse other proposals on this website which may help you with ideas to make your proposal more attractive to investors.
- When an Angel Investor contacts you they may want more information on you and your business by means of a business plan and resume. www.allbusiness.com provides some free information and examples of business plans while www.monster.com does the same with resumes. You should have these two tools readily available and while you can pay professionals to draw them up for you, it is more gratifying and gives you a more in depth knowledge of your business, something investors look for in you, by doing it yourself.
- And by all means it is fair to ask some information of the investor, but keep it professional in nature, essentially you will entering into an agreement with a partner in your endeavor so be sure of who you are comfortable with.

- Need Help? If you need some help in drafting your proposal I recommend contacting Abhay at ensiys@gmail.com. He has more than 28 years of experience in various projects and has offered his services to members of this website.

A warning note on Scammers! Even though I try to keep less than honest members off this website, occasionally there have been con artists who claim to be investors. If any member asks you to send them money or asks for private information like a social security number, DO NOT GIVE ANYTHING TO THIS MEMBER! This is an obviously a scam artist. Please immediately report all these members to me and provide their username and e-mail address so I can continue to remove these scammers.

In fact here is an example. This is a paste from a letter a member has been sending. I have since removed this member because of an obvious scam. Please report these.
